MERRY CHRISTMAS 2008

Another year is almost done. I can still remember clearly waiting for 2000. Oh well.
We have had an interesting year. Next year will surely hold some interesting surprises.

We had a lovely dinner out last night (Christmas Eve) I cannot remember ever doing that. As I thought about it, it was just easier to go out, and leave the dishes to someone else! We went to Texas Land and Cattle, and Randy and Elliot gave us the royal treatment. The dinner was great and we sat by the fire place which made it very Christmas like. (the temperature was in the high 60's by the time we finished dinner) My two children and their friends, Jay and me, and Becky and Charles. Nice group, and after dinner, we came over to the house to open some presents. They all had something planned for today, and that makes Christmas Eve very special for us, too. It was nice.

God has been good to us. Christmas is so special. I hope my Grandchildren and their children will be able to celebrate it without being choked by PC. Political Correctness has nearly ruined America. Let us hope in 2009 we can start to bring it all back to the days we didn't have to be afraid we were offending someone when that was the last thing on our minds. It would be nice and a lot more normal. I don't like PC.

Merry Christmas. Happy Birthday Jesus. God bless America. God bless our troops. God Bless our President.

TEXAS DOESN'T RUN UP SCORES

Thank goodness I am a Longhorn Fan. Being anything else would just not be right. I am so proud of our Longhorns. They won 11 games! Yikes. That is really good. I know we could have had 12 wins, we lost, so, OU will be going to the Big XII Championship game. Missouri and Oklahoma were both beaten by Texas. I just don't know who is going to win this game. Problems for OU...if they don't win by 60 everyone will say they aren't as good as they were the past few weeks.

If Missouri were to win the game...OMG! Bob Stoops did all that for nothing. I didn't watch all of (or many) OU's games, so I can't say for sure, but I bet Sam Bradford never left early. Of course he didn't. The other night with 35 seconds left, they just HAD TO SCORE AGAIN...most would have taken a knee with 13 point lead .. I am so happy Texas doesn't grind their opponents into the dirt. At least not with the first team.

We have to play everyone or most everyone again...even if you NEVER play the teams again, you don't want to humiliate any of the players from other schools. Not for anything...Not EVEN the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Thank you Mack Brown for such a great season. Congratulations on 200 wins. Just a beginning. HOOK 'EM HORNS!
