WEATHER and Weekend

This is the hottest summer I can remember in Austin. Of course, I didn't pay much attention to the temperature outside when I first came to Austin in 1956. I guess I had other things on my mind! I didn't get interested in weather until about 10 maybe 15 years ago. I had a weather station here in Austin (still do) and one down at Crystal Beach. Ike took care of the Beach House last September 12-13th. I don't know what got the station first...the water or the wind. We think tornadoes were to blame, since so many homes just disappeared. Vanished. Became nothing but slabs and a few others had nothing but sand. Weather has been a fun hobby for me for quite some time. I don't really study the "reasons"...just follow the rain and the temperature! Rain has been so scarce in Austin, the cane is dying! Try getting rid of cane on your own.

Our weekend at the Super Regional Texas, was wonderful. We had so many trainings that were really helpful, and done by people who know what they are talking about. Jay and I enjoyed the lessons, and the guests seemed to enjoy themselves, also. If you look at Pre-Paid Legal for the first time, or the 100th time, you are amazed at the coverage, and the need. We have no competition...which usually makes for an inferior attitude, or product, but we have something everyone needs, and we keep it at a very high standard. Great product, great company.

One day, I would like to meet Mr Stonecipher, and just say "thank you, sir, for everything". He persevered when all looked bleak and fruitless. But, luckily he was determined and today, he is the founder and CEO of a 37 year old company on the NYSE under the symbol of PPD, and going strong helping others to deal with those every day, life event problems that face us all. I am never going to be without my coverage, and the ID Theft.

We are going to go out and make a difference! That is what we do. That is what makes us happy.
