MEMORIAL DAY AT THE BEACH...

Well, we are back at the beach. I don't know why we always end up here during a busy holiday. Certainly, this is no exception. There are people everywhere. I mean, the beach is so crowded that if you had a motorcycle, you couldn't park it between the cars. They are really putting up a bunch of tents, also. Well, isn't that Crystal Beach during holidays? Yes.

I still love being here. Just listened and watched UT lose to Baylor (again)..but no matter..we need to come back to Austin, turn around 3 times, and come out fighting. Regionals and Super Regionals just don't put up with losses.

I am betting that our pitching comes around, and our timely hitting improves. We sure won't go far if both of those don't get red hot. We need our catcher..to be playing, and healthy! We were snubbed, now we have to go out and show them "WE'RE TEXAS"

Here's to the Horns...!!!!!

GO HORNS!

We had a great weekend, playing the Texas Aggies. Friday night Texas lost. Then we won the Saturday and Sunday games. It is always so much fun to go out to the ball park early, set up a table, and have good eats. Curry always brings great jalapenos and chicken stuff.. Carolyn brings fried chicken. Well, you get the picture. We take a beer or two along, also. (Just in case someone chokes and needs to swallow it down with some help!!!!)

There are a lot of people there, and we sit in circles around the food, and try to find a spot in the shade. Austin was 93 degrees by noon today, and that makes me wonder what kind of summer we are going to have? If it is this hot right now, then what will it be in July? Well, let's hope we all can stay in the shade. I took some pictures of the people in our circle today.

I got really warm today at the game, and the EMS handed out the best cold towels to put around our necks. I was soaked. It felt good though. Perhaps the University will always provide those!!!

I am wondering if Stan will EVER BBQ again for us...he promised!!!! P. S. HE DID BBQ great meat for the Regionals. He is fogiven from here on!!!!

I will print the pictures and give them at game....we had a great season....now on to THE BIG XII TOURNAMENT, THEN REGIONALS & SUPER REGIONALS in Austin. Hopefully Omaha in June. GO LONGHORNS!! Posted by Hello

At The BEACH HOUSE

We are at the Beach House. Crab Fest is going on, and Crystal Beach is filled with people. I am wondering where everyone gets their dogs and motorcycles and golf carts? Haven't seen this many since last Labor Day. (here)

We come to the beach for peace and quiet. Not during holidays. We go home Sunday.

Do you bring your Dog to the beach? If you do, by all means, be sure you run by our house! Everyone else does.

I will post a picture from Crab Fest last year. It was very comical. Our longtime friends from Midland, were there with us, and we laughed and laughed!

Thanks for your comments. Just beginning this blog, and will figure it out one of these days!
