RAIN IN AUSTIN

Except at our house. Everyone is bragging about the big rains...we have had .51 all day. Sad. WE need it.

Thought yesterday and Saturday and Friday, for that matter the baseball games would be rained out. Sorry, now, that they weren't. We lost 2 1/2 games to KSU. Those Kansas teams have owned us this year.

Tomorrow night is Texas State. They play us very well, each game. Hope we win. Then Baylor and A&M. Those will be hard games. WE better be up for them.

That is all I have to say about baseball today.

THE ALAMO AND TEXANS

Our Beloved Alamo San Antonio, TX .... Deep in the Hearts of Texans!

Why at the Alamo? Well, for starters, that is probably the most revered symbol, other than our Crosses and our Flags, in Texas, and most people know the word Alamo, even if they don't know why they know it. The Alamo...you cannot be a Texan and not know about the Alamo. It is in the middle of town now, with big buildings and cars and all that downtown in a city has. Yet, when you go through the wooden doors and enter the Alamo, you have somehow transcended time...you feel something different when you are amoung the place where these hero's last minutes were spent, inside those walls. The history of Texas and those men who died...we just LOVE that we are a part of that, somehow. Yes, a part of it...by being a Texan. You don't have to be born here..you just have to have, as the song says "A TEXAS STATE OF MIND"... AH, I feel so blest. Thank you God for Texas. Thank God for America. Now let's go save some of our values, and the country we love!

Alamo WHERE 189 Texicans HEROS TO US ALL, fought 1,000’s of Santa Anna' Mexican troops. 173 years ago
A Line was drawn in the Sand..step across the line, and leave, or stay and fight with me. Travis knew after there were no support troops coming, that they would all die. They chose to stay and fight to the death of each man… History of Texas, was forever changed by those few men. You can never say enough for those brave individuals.

Tea Parties are beginning something big. Glen Beck in San Antonio as I write this!

God Bless America, and God Bless Texas! What a great place to be today!
