What's Left of Crystal Beach

It is hard to believe it has been a month since that dirty old Ike rumbled in and through our small community. It is also hard to believe that nothing much is left. We got a picture last night from the insurance adjuster. Not a pretty picture. The leaning telephone pole was at the rear and to the street, of our property. Gulf to the front. If you can see in the picture I upload, there are 2 to 3 short pilings left and about the back 1/3 of the slab is gone. The picture was taken from a neighbor's home....Steve T. Wow, it is just barren. The road to the left broken, is the street to the side of our home. Gulf in front.

Well, here it is, and hopefully I won't be putting anymore pictures until it is in the rebuilding stage. We loved it down there...So did everyone else. Luckily we knew our little house for 10 years. Enjoy every day, you never know. God Bless everyone involved.
